I'm J. Scott — a Canadian living in London, a novelist, and the host of J. Scott Casts, a podcast about intentional living, technology, and building a society worth wanting.
I spent years doing well on paper and feeling awful, and slowly learned the trick underneath a lot of modern life: take someone's real flaws, magnify them, hand them the guilt, and they'll never look at the room they're standing in. It works on people. It works on whole economies. This podcast is me going and checking — researching a problem each week, showing my working, and looking for the people who've already solved it.
It's also groundwork for a novel I'm writing: an optimistic vision of a society that rebuilds and chooses better. The podcast is free. Come figure it out with me.
